Immigrants from Ukraine, Poland, Arabic-speaking countries and elsewhere often enter the workforce quickly but lack a safe space to practise spoken Norwegian.
An app that lets users call an AI Norwegian coach and practise real conversation — flow, pronunciation and everyday phrases — without pressure.
Concept, UX and implementation with voice AI.
Combined a voice AI model with a tutoring prompt design I iterated on through real conversations. Tuned for patience, correction style and Norwegian everyday context.
Designed the interaction as a phone call, not a chat — lowering the cognitive load and matching how people actually want to practise speaking.
